Wild Horses Couldn't ...

Nothing's more beautiful than the dance of horses and riders in competition.
The art of shared communication, common goals, mutual respect add to the grace of the ride.

Durango, CO, practice sessions bring out the best in horses and riders
Asturias Courtyard
The harp's complex rhythms and harmonics echo in the courtyard.
The musico colors ancient walls with a language forlorn, representative voices of people missing pieces of their past,
But still strong in pride, still seeking an independence from what they've lost,
Yet yearning still for the hope of tomorrow.

Remembering
Time is precious. Easily lost. When you give it up to protect what you love, its value can't be stated or its impact measured. It becomes timeless.
The Shadowlands
Borders of light and dark, day and night, shift into twilight.
Delusion and illusion creep behind smoky incense as the struggle for what's real becomes meaningful.
Is this the last cycle of harvest when the storehouses must last through the darkness?
One last time, hoping for new sunlight?
Is hope the only eternal?

Any Day Fishing is a Good Day

Catching the Prize
A spring day on the Oceanside pier brings out the fun and camaraderie of fishermen. At top, left, preparing the bait. Fish on line and coming down. Neighbors work out a tangle. Bottom, got one hooked, and showing off the trophy.
The Oceanside Pier Will Be Back
One of those life milestones was a blessing to spend a week in a friend's timeshare on the Oceanside beach. On the first day, the end of Oceanside Pier burned down destroying a landmark restaurant, Ruby's. But the rest of the pier opened up and the fishing was good, judging by this catch.
The burned end of the pier was scraped off and a $17 million repair work is underway. The pier should be completed by 2027.
Denver Alley
Not all cities are the same.
Some just have a touch of class,
Even in the alleys.
